About Me

Hi, welcome to my website.

I am Daniel Fernandez, a native from Santiago, Chile, currently studying a PhD in Statistics, with a focus on Genomics and Bayesian Models, under the supervision of Professor Jun Liu.

Since my main interest is in the application of statistical and computational methods to biology I have been very lucky to collaborate with biological and medical researchers from whom I have learned a lot. Among them I should specially mention my first mentor Bradley Bernstein, who introduce me to the fascinating world of epigenetics, and its importance on maitaining a cell state and function through established, and to-be-discovered epigenetic mechanisms.
